STATIONS & PICKUPS
Where buses leave and arrive in Ho Chi Minh City.
- Mien Dong Bus Station · Bến xe Miền Đông
Eastern terminals for routes to the north and the coast. There is an older station in Binh Thanh and the larger New Mien Dong (Bến xe Miền Đông mới) further out. - Mien Tay Bus Station · Bến xe Miền Tây
South-west of the centre. The main terminal for the Mekong Delta, such as Can Tho, Chau Doc and Ha Tien. - Pham Ngu Lao area (District 1) · Phạm Ngũ Lão
Offices of many tourist and cross-border bus companies, near the main backpacker district.
If you arrive at a terminal on the edge of the city, it can take a long time to reach District 1 in traffic. Use a metered taxi or ride-hailing app rather than accepting an unmetered offer at the bus door.
- “Saigon”, “Ho Chi Minh” and “Ho Chi Minh City” all refer to the same city on booking sites.
- New Mien Dong and Mien Tay are on opposite sides of the city, so check your terminal before setting off.
- Some operators run free shuttles from their terminals. Ask when you book.
